About this event
The League of Women Voters of Irving is launching a new civic engagement series called the Saturday Stir—a casual, coffeehouse-style event focused on local topics that matter on select Saturdays.
Our inaugural discussion is "The Importance of Women Running for Local Office."
EVENT DETAILS:
Saturday, August 30
Networking begins at 10:30 AM | Panel starts at 11:00 AM
Cuppa Espresso Bar, located inside Irving Bible Church
2435 Kinwest Pkwy, Irving, TX 75063
This panel, moderated by Cathy Whiteman, will feature a conversation about the challenges, motivations, and impact of women stepping into public leadership roles—especially at the local level. Confirmed participants include Susan Motley and Priscilla Vigliante, both former candidates who bring valuable insights and experience.
Special Note: Guests are kindly encouraged to support Cuppa Espresso Bar, a local business, by purchasing their coffee onsite rather than bringing outside beverages.
